We proudly work for the following clients (among others)
Product Management and successful product teams
How do you optimally position your product teams and how do you enable them to deliver? Should you present them with predefined solutions or are there better alternatives? For example, by making maximum use of skills within the team and bringing real customer problems to the team in an inspiring way? Together with other product enthusiasts, you will investigate the advantages and disadvantages of these different approaches and test them in practice. You will explore how ideas about solutions can be refined and enriched by using different perspectives on the problem at hand. You will also learn about various tools that enable you to make a difference for your customers and your organization tomorrow. For example, empathy maps, customer segmentation, jobs to be done, personas, and much more!
Product strategy
In this part we focus on ingredients for a powerful product strategy. Which product should we build, what value does the proposition have, how can we validate the success of the product in a timely manner, and how can we set up a sustainable business strategy? Metrics about customer and company impact are also discussed.
Roadmapping
A plan is necessary to successfully implement the product strategy. So we’ll discuss how to plan for product success using different roadmap building techniques. You also investigate how you can validate assumptions about value and therefore whether a proposition has viability.
Stakeholder management
Product Management does not take place in isolation and apart from (potential) customers. There is often a complex landscape of stakeholders, both internal and external. We investigate how you can manage and involve your stakeholders in product development. We also discuss how to engage them in a more data-driven approach to decision-making and validating value delivered in an evidence-based manner.
Lifecycle management
Creating new products is great, but there comes a time when new products also enter a different phase of their lifecycle. We discuss how a product should be managed through these different phases.
Scaling
Finally, we look at Product Management at scale. We do not provide you with a scaling framework that provides ready-made solutions. Instead, we investigate what you need to take into account when developing product in a larger organization and how you can manage dependencies between teams. We investigate what is needed from you as a product professional at different levels to make the right strategic decisions.
After a packed interactive program with discussions and case studies, it is time to complete the course. We reflect on the insights you have gained and how you will use them to make more impact in your role. We have not only examined commonly used techniques of mature product management, but also identified concrete steps that you can take to grow in your role as a product professional.
This training helps you to:
- Understand the essence of product management and explain it to others
- Gain a good overview and understanding of which product management skills make you successful
- Lead your product team(s) and better facilitate collaboration with customers and the rest of your organization
- Create a product-driven organization and be a driving force in increasing the maturity of product management
- Apply the most effective stakeholder management strategies and, among other things, make optimal use of the art of negotiation
- Determine the position of the product in the market and the product lifecycle and adjust your actions accordingly
- Devise a robust product strategy, apply different approaches and translate it into valuable work for the product teams
- Measuring the impact of product development on the customer and the organization and actively contributing to the data-driven maturity of your organization
- Investigate customer problems and potential solutions more effectively, for example through role-playing
- Create roadmaps and release strategies that can be used in your organization
- Get a good overview of the events, artifacts, and processes required for product management at scale
Target audience
The Product Management Core Capabilities training is intended for product people who want to improve the foundation of their role. The participants usually consist of Product Owners, Agile Product Managers and related roles, but it is also very suitable if you want to help others grow in product management, for example as a manager.
Are you making the transition to product management and have you had a more technical or business oriented background so far? Then the Core Capabilities module is definitely something for you! Before you jump straight into building products or launching products, it pays huge dividends to take a step back and review the entire product lifecycle. This two-day training helps you to effectively apply the right techniques and tools at the right time to successfully manage products within your organization.
Are you at the start of your career as a Product Owner and do you especially need basic knowledge about the Product Owner role? Expandior’s Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO-I) training is probably more suitable for now.

TOPdeskWe had two great sessions: an online workshop focused on product delivery and predictability, and a two-day core capabilities training on-site in Delft. Extremely worthwhile to get everyone together and discover more about the Product Management discipline.

AIMMSSometimes you follow courses which you can't even remember a couple of days later, and sometimes you follow courses which are so inspirational, they change the way your work the very next day. I attended the latter kind and can highly recommend the course 'product management capabilities' for Dutch based product colleagues.
And I even got a certificate!
